End of the first week...

Congratulations!

Well done fellow Wok students!  You have survived the first week back, hopefully now it will be plain sailing from here and before you know, it will be Christmas holidays and we will be opening presents under the tree, sledging in the snow and eating chocolate in front of the Eastenders special!

For now I have some exciting bits of information for you all which have come to light this week: Firstly we have a date for the first edition of WOK Magazine hopefully we will be out and about selling the magazine on (or around) the 5th of October... which is only 26 days away! The price is yet to be confirmed.

Secondly we now have an E-mail address for the magazine which will be checked regularly so you can send in any enquires, suggestions or even funny stories and we will be sure to reply, and possibly use them!

Obviously this week around the school it has been slightly hectic with new students, new teachers and new facilities. However everyone has been doing their best to make sure the first week ran smoothly, one particular detail of this was the fire practise which was carried out rather sufficiently although I did feel sorry for those wearing gym clothes whilst the rest of us were wrapped up warm!

Have a good weekend everyone! Enjoy it whilst it's here and I will see you on Monday for another week at the wonderful Weald of Kent! (No that was not sarcasm!)

Welcome Back!

So we begin with a brand new school year!

Welcome back fellow Weald people! I hope your summer has been full of sun, fun and relaxation, but now we're back to school with our new pencil cases and pristine folders! Don't forget to remember the golden rule of new exercise books : The first page has to be neat, from then on it doesn't matter if it's a mess!

This year Laura Kennedy has taken over WOK Magazine and so far her and the team have been working hard to come up with some brand new ideas for the magazine as well as continuing some old traditions! This year we decided that WOK Magazine should have it's very own blog and that is where I come into the picture!
I (Harriet Woollam) will be keeping you up-to-date with everything that is happening around school and giving you sneak peeks at the next issue of the magazine and let's not forget interactive features like the sports day video, polls and online competitions!

So for now enjoy the first few days back! Good luck to all the new Year 7's and 12's, hopefully you will love Weald as much as the rest of us and for those who are leaving at the end of this year enjoy your last ever first day back!

Bye for now!

Harriet
